exululamus

Exululamus was established in 2020 in Bellingham, Washington, USA. It's a solo experimental musical project by Michigan-born and raised Kevin Fitzgerald. The most recent releases are on sale.  I categorize it as experimental / free jazz / ambient / world music.  It has a lot going on, and is heavily improvisational.  Mostly recorded and edited at my home studio.  Some nature sounds and recordings out in the wilderness woven into the mix.

exululamus is affiliated with Noohkeek Sounds: a record company for avant garde music.

New EP release on gumroad:  Kali (well, almost... gimme a few minutes here....)

Free jazz with fiddle and cumbus in lead.  Percussion, flutes, clarinet, and vocals accompanying.  About twenty minutes.

New samples on Bandcamp: albums for sale on gumroad

Piano and Ghunroo :

Mauweh :

Avant garde music: experimental, world, ambient. Lots of drums, bells, fiddles, and flutes. Some electric base guitar and fiddles. Three different editions from the same four jam sessions, all mixed together in varying ways. Lots of variety and energetic hand drums.  Recorded in Bellingham and Flathead Lake.

New EP up on Bandcamp (24 September 2026)

https://exululamus.bandcamp.com/album/manitou-mandala-ep.  I'm feeling really good about it.  Manitou Mandala.  It was going to be two volumes, full LPs, but I edited it down, and I love the result.  It's more metal than most of my work.  I'm calling it experimental / post-metal / world.  I think this is part of a big shift in how I edit and publish.  It's a free stream.  If you're interested in a copy, let me know and I'll give you a free copy.  Thanks so much for your time.  Peace.

New post on Medium describing my cataloging project

Digging through Archives: working toward direct to consumer. (19 September 2026)
A brief description of the project along with some notion of how excited I am to be making progress on it, and some thoughts on how I might move to physical copies in the not too distant future.  I'll be keeping tabs on the progress here, and other essays on my musical production, and likely some more on socio-musicology, because I love that sort of stuff.

Two albums available

Naawan Sessions vol. 1, and vol. 2.  These are exclusive releases for Noohkeek Sounds, Available in digital wav form.

Bandcamp page:

I haven't really done anything with this page yet.  I'm looking to put some streaming free stuff up there, but I don't want to sell anything through them.  For now, streaming is available on youtube mostly, and some other platforms, but I'm phasing them out.

I'm gradually phasing out the streaming and working toward direct to consumer sales through Noohkeek Sounds.

exululamus also has a medium blog (www.medium.com/@exululamus) and a journal (https://medium.com/musical-culture).  Here I write about some of my musical experiences, including some of my recording methods.  I also write about musical philosophy, history, spirituality, and socio-musicology.

Also, exululamus has been used in a movie.  It's a really cool sci fi movie nosia propagandas (2023).  www.imdb.com/it/name/nm15409134/
